Mawaiya, Mirzapur
In June 2021, the company benuta GmbH, Bonn, contacted CARE & FARE in Hamburg for a larger donation.
CARE & FAIR had wanted to build a new primary school in Mawaiya, Mirzapur for some time.
C & F received the land for the construction from a board member, Mr. Ahsan Rauf Khan.
After that, things went very quickly: The first phase of construction began in January 2022.
On April 16, 2024, the school was inaugurated and officially opened by the sponsors. In the same month, 124 children were enrolled for the new school year. The fourth, fifth and sixth grades will follow next year. CARE & FAIR was able to establish and implement its seventh Women Empowerment Programme (WEP II) at this school.
As you can imagine, not all of the work has been done yet. The schoolyard with the play equipment still needs to be completed and trees need to be planted to provide shade.
C & F owes all of this to the support of benuta GmbH, Bonn / Germany.
We wish the children who will receive an education at the benuta school much success and joy in their future lives.
The Board of Education for the state of Uttar Pradesh (U.P. Madhyamic Siksha Parishad, Allahabad) has officially recognised the School.
